How many servers does Google own?

I was looking round a few forums and found an interesting thread about how many servers Google owns. Its probably old news and has grown a bit since then but its news to me. So I thought I would do some research into it and found that there are estimated to be over 450,000 servers

But that could be wrong but thats the best estimation at the moment… Now how much power would it take to run all that? It would cost to run it for the power somewhere along the line of $2,000,000 per month

There was also some people saying there was about a total of 4 Petabytes of RAM. Its hard to believe that Google make enough to run all those servers, buy out loads of websites, pay their publishers, pay their staff etc and still have plenty of money in the bank.

I bet most of those servers are for Google Search after all Google is the biggest search engine on the internet.
